“It's not about standing still and becoming safe. If anybody wants to keep creating they have to be about change.”

- Miles Davis

In 2022, I took the first step in my UX/UI journey.

After working over a decade in industries I wasn’t passionate about, I decided it was time to make a change. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to do something creative. On the recommendation of a friend who’d recently graduated, I was introduced to Springboard’s UX/UI program.

UX/UI is something we engage with every single day. It’s something I often have no shortage of complaints about when it’s done poorly. I couldn’t believe that I’d never considered this a career avenue sooner. I was a bit apprehensive about taking out another loan for school, but I’ve gone into debt for worse things…

I took a gamble on myself and signed up for the Springboard UX/UI Career Track in December of 2022. I knew this was something I wanted to do, something that I COULD do.

About

Background

Lifelong jazz lover bringing that sensibility to UX design. I believe good UX has to be flexible; there’s no one size fits all approach to design. As a designer with three years of experience, I strive to meet the individual needs of every client I work with. I’m always trying to grow my skill set in order to best meet the moment.
